DEWGUARD Insulation System — Aerogel Super Insulation

Aerogel-based Ultra-Low Thermal Conductivity Coating & Sheet Insulation

We supply ultra-low thermal conductivity insulation materials based on aerogel (JIOS AeroVa®) under the HIGHCOATIC DEWGUARD brand. Applied thinly in coating and sheet forms, it prevents heat loss and condensation.

What is DEWGUARD Insulation?

We supply aerogel-based, ultra-low thermal conductivity insulation materials under HIGHCOATIC's own brand, DEWGUARD.

DEWGUARD is an ultra-low thermal conductivity insulation system based on silica aerogel powder (JIOS AeroVa®). Thanks to its multi-nanoporous structure, where 90-99% of the material is air, it offers significantly superior insulation performance compared to fiberglass. It can be applied thinly as a paint-type coating or an adhesive sheet.

What are the Key Performance Features?

Thermal conductivity of 0.012~0.044 W/(m·K), air content of 90~99%, stable down to ultra-low temperatures of -200℃.

※ Performance values vary depending on the form, such as paint-type or sheet-type.

Where is it Applied?

It is applied for high-temperature and cryogenic piping/tank insulation, low-temperature piping condensation/mold prevention, and power plant/hydrogen infrastructure insulation.

It can be thinly applied or attached even to areas where plate-type insulation is difficult to install, such as curved surfaces, valves, and flanges. HIGHCOATIC has a track record of solving condensation issues in semiconductor low-temperature piping by applying 1mm DEWGUARD insulation sheets, as well as providing insulation and heat retention for high-temperature equipment like vulcanizers in tire manufacturing, kilns in the secondary battery sector, and condensation-prone piping in the semiconductor industry.

※ While DEWGUARD's superhydrophobic properties are advantageous for condensation prevention, a separate moisture barrier layer should be used in high-risk outdoor environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the differences between SIPP, CIPP, and PVC lining methods?

CIPP is a cured-in-place method for large pipes, SIPP is a spray-in-place method for small pipes, and PVC lining involves adhering an internal sheet. While most companies specialize in only one rehabilitation method, HIGHCOATIC can handle all three, allowing us to select the optimal method tailored to specific site conditions.

What is polyurea?

It is an elastic coating material developed by Texaco in the early 1980s in the United States. It boasts an elongation of over 400%, concrete adhesion of over 3.0 N/mm², and heat resistance of 120°C for gases and 85°C for liquids. It is widely used for waterproofing, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection.

Do you hold environmental certifications?

All products have received eco-friendly certification for use in drinking water and food facilities. They contain 0% volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and have completed certification for use in drinking water and food facilities from relevant authorities in the US, Singapore, Canada, China, and other countries. Additionally, they hold ASTM E84 Class 1 flame spread certification.

What is HIGHCOATIC's relationship with NUKOTE?

HIGHCOATIC is the exclusive distributor of NUKOTE in South Korea. NUKOTE is an industrial protective coating manufacturer headquartered in Texas, USA, supplying over 140 countries worldwide and boasting a product lineup of over 80 types.
